Message of the Secretary General – Depositary

Welcome on the Official Website of the IUIC (Intergovernmental University Institute of Co-operation) a global Inter-University Organization with professional inclusion mandate, established by the UNTS International Convention of 31 May 2001, registered with the United Nations Secretariat at no. A-37543 of the United Nations Treaty Series (UNTS), published on the Statement of Treaties and International Agreements registered or filed and recorded with the Secretariat of the United Nations no. ST/LEG:SER.A.625 of Month of June 2001 and on the United Nations Treaty Series Cumulative Index no. 40.

After a quarter of a Century of its existence IUIC is acting in enforcing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with special focus to:
SDG 4) Quality Education
SGD 5) Gender Equality,
SGD 8) Decent Work and Economic Growth,
SGD 16) Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
and SGD 17) Partnership for the Goals

The IUIC is administered under the Office of the Secretary General- Depositary of the Establishment Convention – Rector,
currently Acting Secretary General Dr._Prof._Alessandro_Manini and is composed by a General Secretariat, a General Council and a Scientific Directorate.

The Intergovernmental University institute of Cooperation is a collaborative academic institution involving multiple governments and countries, focusing on research, education, and policy-making that address global issues. It emphasizes international cooperation, shared resources, and a curriculum that promotes understanding among diverse cultures and governance systems.
The institution focuses on addressing the global challenges through innovative research and education. It aims to bridge the gap between the international community and academia and facilitate knowledge creation and dissemination. Purpose and Goals are to conduct research in various fields, particularly those aligned with the UN’s objectives, such as sustainable development, peace and security, human rights, and environmental issues, to provide education and training opportunities, fostering a new generation of leaders in international development and related fields.

ACCREDITATION

The IUIC also operates as an Accreditation System to certify those Degrees so far granted by multiple universities which can benefit these institution by attracting international students, enhancing research opportunities, fostering partnerships with other educational organizations, profetional entities, academic and third sector partners, in order to improve curriculum and teaching practices.
It can also give students greater confidence in their educational choices, knowing that their program meets established international standards.

IUIC accreditation is a valid alternative to many programs and universities pursue accreditation from international organizations to enhance their credibility, improve educational quality, and offer assurance to students and employers regarding the standards of education provided. International accreditation can signal that a program meets global standards of education and is recognized beyond its home country.
